Campbell House

    This residence was inspired by and designed for client Scott Campbell. The house, just like it’s client, is filled with character and surprise. It’s shape and layout are heavily influenced by the idea of performance and theatrics.
    This space encompasses the unique characteristics of a working theater through it’s layout, furniture, and materiality. The main stage is represented in the walkway to the front entrance and every angle on the main floor has clear sight lines of those who enter and exit. Underneath in the basement lies the spaces intended for tasks and work, hidden from the public eye.
    When you visit the Campbell House, you are the audience who relaxes and observes, you are the actor who
performs on the stage, and you are the director that works to keep the house operating smoothly.
